Logan Square

Welcome to Logan Square

Located about five miles northwest of Downtown Chicago, Logan Square is an increasingly popular neighborhood for those who want a quieter day-to-day experience with the same unique culture and character that Chicagoans love. Though far enough from Downtown that the fast-paced nature of the city melts away, Logan Square has great highway access that makes it incredibly easy for commuters to get to work in a snap. It’s also home to a rich cultural scene of artists, musicians, and small-business owners who imbue the community with a rich identity. Homes here include a mix of beautiful traditional styles and newly developed condos and apartments with all the luxury amenities you could need.

If you’re on the lookout for homes in Logan Square, don’t forget to take a walk through the charming streets of neighborhood-within-the-neighborhood Palmer Square. Its quiet tree-lined streets have made it a popular place to buy a home for residents who appreciate its friendly, easygoing atmosphere and traditional Chicago feel.

This eclectic nature lends vibrant, diverse energy to the neighborhood that helps make it such a great place to live. On Logan Boulevard, which charts the center of the neighborhood, you can find traditional limestone homes straight out of a postcard and begin exploring some of the great restaurants, hip music venues, and trendy bars that have become Logan Square’s staple over the years.

Dining, Entertainment & Shopping

Logan Square is a popular destination for unique dining options, but before you try those, one local favorite you’ll want to be sure to check out is the Logan Square Farmer’s Market. Each Sunday, residents come together to buy fresh produce and local goods with a backdrop of live entertainment to enjoy with family and friends.

When you’re ready to grab a meal or a refreshing cocktail, head to one of the neighborhood’s many popular eateries: Longman & Eagle, a contemporary take on a traditional Chicago inn that offers delicious food and drinks; Billy Sunday, an award-winning gastropub and cocktail bar; Lula Cafe, a popular brunch spot; or Hopewell Brewery, known for its craft beers and excellent taproom. There’s no lack of options to explore on Chicago’s warm summer days, and the collection of small boutiques and one-of-a-kind dining experiences draw visitors from around the city.

Things to Do

Logan Square is known for its indie spirit and thriving music and arts scene. On an average weekend, you can find great local talent playing shows around town to crowds of loyal fans. Concord Music Hall is one popular mid-size venue where you can find a variety of great shows, from indie rock, dub-step, and hip-hop performers.

One event that always draws crowds to the neighborhood is the annual Logan Square Arts Festival, which takes place near the Illinois Centennial Monument. This beloved festival brings together musicians, artists, and experimental performers to present new and exciting work while helping to celebrate the authentic and diverse nature of the Logan Square community.
